Sailing has successful weekend

A first, a third, and a thirteenth

The Queen’s sailing team competed at three regattas Oct. 4 and 5, finishing first, third and 13th overall.

At the Queen’s Open, hosted by the Gaels, Queen’s finished with a commanding lead with 39 points. Racing in the A division were Isaac Bussin, and in the B division were Dirk McLaughlin and Cian O’Neil-Kizoff.

At the Carey Price Memorial Intersectional at the University of Michigan, Queen’s finished third overall, beating out competition from various American schools with a score of 68. Racing in the A division were Landon Gardner and Allyson Hornby, and in the B division were Peter Soosalu and Nicolas Trottier.

At the Finger Lakes Women’s Intersectional race at Hobart and William Smith colleges, Queen’s finished 13th, with 236 points, overall. Racing for Queen’s in both the A and B division races were Katrina Davis and Caitlin Gallagher.
