We are a competitive and recreational sailing club at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
We sail double-handed in Club 420 sailboats, and also individually in Lasers. We have an active keelboat team that competes internationally, a bunch of skiff-sailing racers, and a rockin' Recreational Sailing Club.
Our home court is the Kingston Yacht Club. We sail in windy Kingston Harbour. KYC is so close to Queen’s main campus you can walk to practice.
We have a full-time coach, and we have awesome support from our Yacht Club and Alumni. Queen's is leading the way as a model for collegiate sailing in Canada.

We race as part of the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) in the Middle Atlantic district (MAISA) against major sailing schools like Georgetown and the US Naval Academy.
We also race against Canadian Universities as part of CICSA.
The Rec Sailing Club provides casual sailing and lessons taught by CYA-certified instructors.
No experience is necessary! All Queen's students are welcome. Join us, and sail as your time permits. It's fun!
We offer five 3-hour sessions a week, held Friday to Sunday. Generally, sessions run Friday from 1:30-4:30, and Saturday and Sunday from 11-2 and 2-5, every weekend from the beginning of September to the end of October.
##Our Focus for the Future
Queen’s Sailing is always improving. Here are some of our medium-term improvement plans:
Raise our MAISA rankings. This year’s goal: Top-15.
Win the Canadian National Team Racing Championships and the Canadian National Fleet Racing Championships again.
Increase our participation in women’s regattas and create a women’s single-handed team.
Continue to develop our keelboat team.
Increase the capacity of our Recreational Sailing Club because of very high demand for casual sailing.
Increase the Club’s involvement in skiff sailing.
Get our members more involved in the Kingston Yacht Club.
Host, and podium, at an intersectional championship hosted at KYC.
Continue to elevate collegiate sailing in Canada.
